On May 29th WIBN Network hosted the a Women in Biz Conference Tweet Up to celebrate the first ever Women in Biz Conference. The purpose of the event was to bring everyone together before the conference so that attendees could get to know each other before the actual conference on May 30th – a perfect icebreaker!
This packed and popular event would not have been possible without the financial support of Microsoft Canada and Blissdom Canada.
The Cocktail Deeva made a special cocktail called the Womeninbiz-Tini in honour of the night. I can tell you it was very tasty. Read the cocktail deeva blog for the recipe. (Dee made a version for pregnant attendees too!)
Microsoft Canada also hosted a table at the event where they displayed some of the newest and hottest hardware for us girls to test out. My favourite is the Studio Series Artist Edition Wireless Mobile Mouse (which happened to be a coveted prize draw that night). Each conference attendee also received an Arc Mouse the next day in their goodie bag. From the amount of tweets received after the conference I can tell it was a winner. I personally love mine. It is small and fits in my purse – perfect for traveling.
It was a great night to connect with new and old friends and tweet up a storm! I can’t wait to do it again.
