Editorial Content

Decide which category your blog post fits under – choose one – Ambitious, Wise, Healthy, Productive, Happy, Balanced, Adventurous, Stylish and choose a featured image that is 737 x 398 pixels or larger for your post.

Content Guidelines

Your content should have lots of subtitles (with relevant key words to your blog post) and bullet points to break up content. We are happy to find a relevant photo for you or you can choose your own but be sure you are licensed to use it  🙂 = We use Istock Photos

New Procedure for Submission of  Blog Posts

It is ideal that you post your own content in WordPress – you can choose the correct category based off the editorial calendar – for example in June the “category” to select would be “Collaboration Driving Innovation”  – As WIBN Members, each one of you has the “rights to submit blog posts” via WordPress. Please choose Save as DRAFT – Send Leigh Mitchell an email when you have posted as a draft and I will publish when appropriate. As I said, this is the most ideal way for us to work with you posting your own blog post. However, If for some reason you are unfamiliar with WordPress we can post for you but there will be delay and you MUST use this form to submit your article: http://womeninbiznetwork.com/advertising/write-for-us-writers-guidelines (Click the Submit button to open the form for your submission).

Biography Box for new authors: 

When you became a WIBN member it provided you a profile – this is where you post your social media links and web site as well as your bio. That is where the bio box pulls your bio. For your photo you must have a gravatar image set up through the gravatar web site. Here is instructions to set up : http://womeninbiznetwork.com/create-your-own-gravatar/

Blog Posts for WIBN Newsletter – Every Wednesday:

Each month we will highlight the editorial theme – this month the editorial theme will be towards the end of the month since we are just getting started with this system. Please feel free to submit your articles for the theme a month in advance so that you are ready to go at the beginning of each month – remember to “SAVE AS DRAFT”. I have not been very consistent with posting the newsletter the same time each week but I am going to publish it every Tuesday as much as possible as our webinars are always on Wednesdays and it gives us a chance to promote them to the last minute registrants. We will be only putting in 1 or 2 blogs posts per newsletter as there is always a lot of content.
