AI Outreach That Doesn't Sound Like a Bot Wrote It

For Female ChangeMakers and Entrepreneurs, the AI adoption gap is an Untapped Opportunity. A 3-step Strategy to Ensure Technology Amplifies your Influence, not Sidelines it.

If you’re a woman in business, you probably already know something that many AI evangelists don’t: authenticity matters. And right now, too many AI outreach tools and templates are built in ways that don’t reflect women’s voices, priorities, or experiences, which can make the technology feel more like noise than an opportunity.

But there’s more to the story: AI isn’t neutral, and if we don’t pay attention to how it’s being used and who’s using it, it could widen existing gender gaps in business and career growth.

A Real Gender Gap in AI Adoption

Multiple studies show that women are less likely to use generative AI tools than men, even when they’re in the same roles or workplaces:

  • Across large surveys, women adopt generative AI at rates roughly 10–40% lower than men overall — meaning fewer women are leveraging AI to boost productivity or innovate in their work.
  • In some research, women are about 20 percentage points less likely than men to report using tools like ChatGPT in professional settings.
  • Women also tend to report needing more training before using AI a barrier that limits confidence and skill development.

This gap isn’t about ability it’s about access, training, trust, and relevance.

Women Are Underrepresented in AI Roles

Despite the fact that AI tools are reshaping industries across the board:

  • Women make up only around 22–29% of the global AI workforce, and even less in senior technical and leadership positions.

Fewer women in the AI talent pool means fewer voices shaping how these technologies are built and implemented, and that, in turn, increases the risk that AI systems will reflect and reinforce existing biases.

Why This Matters for Women in Business

If you’re leading a business, running a team, or building a professional brand, the AI adoption gap shows up in three meaningful ways:

  1. Career Advantage: People who use AI effectively get more done in less time. If women adopt at lower rates, they risk falling behind in productivity and visibility.
  2. Influence and Opportunity: Women are underrepresented in AI fields, which means less influence over how AI tools and systems are designed: from hiring and performance systems to outreach, marketing, and automation.
  3. Risk of Bias: AI tools that weren’t built with gender in mind. Diverse training data or perspectives can lead to misinterpretation, misclassification, or undervaluation of women’s contributions and choices.

So What Should Women Do?

AI shouldn’t be something we fear, but something we use on our terms. Here’s how to make it work for you — not around you:

1. Master the “Human + AI” Blend

AI can amplify your voice, but it shouldn’t replace it. Use it to:

  • Draft the skeleton of your outreach, then infuse it with your personal tone, story, and insights.
  • Surface ideas and insights faster, but always edit and personalize before sending or publishing.

This prevents the all-too-common “robotic message” that turns off potential clients or partners before a real conversation begins.

2. Educate and Empower Your Audience

Women in business often lead with empathy, insight, and relational intelligence. Let your content reflect that:

  • Teach before you pitch.
  • Share experiences, lessons, and perspectives that only you can bring.
  • Use storytelling and context, not automation and anonymity, to build trust.

3. Invest in Your AI Skill Set

If women adopt AI at lower rates than men, that means there’s an untapped opportunity for those who do learn and master these tools:

  • Start with simple, practical use cases (research, summarizing, scheduling).
  • Build confidence through experimentation — the gap narrows as comfort grows.
  • Don’t wait for permission: upskill now so you control the technology, not the other way around.

The Future of Outreach (and Careers) Is Human + AI

AI will continue shaping how business gets done, but the people who thrive won’t be those who blindly automate the most — they’ll be those who automate the right things and keep the human connection front and center.

Women in business have a distinct advantage here: the ability to lead with voice, values, and relationship-centred messaging. When you use AI to amplify these strengths, rather than replace them, you don’t just keep pace, you stand out.

And that’s the future we should build, one where technology supports women’s leadership, not sidelines it.

AI Support for Women

We’re running an in-person AI workflow workshop at the Verity Club in Toronto. We’ll build your outreach system step-by-step – your voice blocks, your framework, your actual workflow – so you leave with something ready to use.

AI Workflow Workshop

Bring your messiest business problem. Leave with a clear AI plan.

A roundtable workshop for founder-led service businesses (teams of 1-10).
Hosted at the vibey Verity Club library, with a tea + scones break.

The Promise

If you’re using AI but it still feels chaotic, you’re not alone.
Most founders are drowning in repeat work. Proposals. Follow-ups. Inbox triage. “What should I post?” thought leadership  paralysis. Too many decisions.

This workshop turns that chaos into simple workflows.
You’ll leave with a plan you can actually execute.

Fast.

Practical.

No hype.

This is for you if

  • You run a service business. Or you lead marketing in one.
  • You have a small team. Or you are the team.
  • You’ve tried AI. But it’s not saving meaningful time yet.
  • You want AI to create repeatable outputs, not random drafts.

This is not for you if you want a magic “set it and forget it” agent.
This is systems-first AI adoption.

What you’ll do in the workshop

Before the event

Once you’ve grabbed your spot, you’ll submit one live problem in your business. (Short form. 5 minutes.)

I’ll pick one problem to feature.
I’ll build the solution. Including a working custom GPT.

During the roundtable

At the event, I’ll show the build step-by-step.
Then we’ll workshop your version at your table.

You’ll translate your problem into

  • a clear workflow
  • the inputs your AI needs
  • the prompts/structure to generate consistent outputs
  • next actions you can implement immediately

Examples of live problems we can solve

  • A proposal workflow that produces a tailored first draft in minutes
  • A referral outreach system with warm messages + follow-up sequences
  • A content repurposing engine (one good idea ? a week of assets)
  • Inbox triage that drafts responses and flags what matters
  • A simple “findability” workflow to earn more inbound leads over time

Venue

We’re hosting this inside the Verity Club in downtown Toronto.
Specifically!!!! The library! It’s quiet. It’s beautiful. It feels like focused momentum.

Mid-session, we’ll break for tea and scones.

Only the poshest of vibes.
