Biography

Ann Douglas is an author and magazine writer who specializes in writing about parenting. A popular speaker, Ann leads workshops and delivers keynote addresses on a variety of topics of interest to writers, parents, and others who share her passions for mental health, social justice, education, and civic engagement. She lives and works in Peterborough, Ontario, and volunteers her time with various projects and causes.

In June 2013, Ann became the second person ever to be awarded a Lifetime Membership by the Professional Writers Association of Canada (in recognition of her contributions to the freelance writing profession).

How does your business help entrepreneurs and professional women?

I offer one-to-one coaching to writers who are interested in achieving a career breakthrough (e.g., writing a book or finding more time to pursue the types of writing projects they love).

What are you passionate about in your business and what steps are you taking to make it profitable?

I am passionate about inspiring parents and writers through my writing and my speaking.

What do you hope conference attendees will take away from hearing you speak at our conference?

I hope that attendees (new and experienced writers) will be motivated to make changes to their own lives and careers after hearing some of the life and career strategies I plan to share during the “ask the experts” micro-session.ann-wordbug
