Biography
Medicine Song Woman Brenda MacIntyre, creator of the Sacred Feminine Success Path Certification Program, is a goosebump-giving Juno (Canadian Grammy) Award-winning singer, speaker, spirit-led mentor and indigenous shaman.
After many years of being terrified of being seen and heard, and suppressing her spiritual gifts, Brenda is passionate about helping spiritual women entrepreneurs to find their voice, OWN their gifts and create and sell exceptional signature services.
Painfully shy and introverted into her teens, Brenda let her passion for singing lead her onto the stage and by the age of 20 she was a rap artist on Top 40 Radio in Miami.
Hidden behind Brenda’s enigmatic success was a cycle of toxic relationships that landed her in an Aboriginal healing lodge, where a Navajo medicine woman recognized Brenda as a healer. Since then, Brenda’s mentorship, healing, training, speaking and singing has helped thousands of women around the world to find their voice.
Brenda has shared her magic, mystery, laughter, leadership and soul on MuchMusic, APTN, CTV, CP24, Global, Vision, CityTV’s Breakfast Television, OMNI, Rogers and TeleLatino Network, as well as CBC Radio and CFRB FM. Her music has been featured on CBC and hundreds of other radio stations, garnering top ten status multiple times. She has appeared live across North America and shared the stage with best-selling authors Dr. Emoto, Shakti Gawain and Gregg Braden.
In her spare time, Brenda can be found in the middle of a belly laugh, ecstatic dance or on a midnight walk with her teenage daughter.
How can your experience or your business help fellow conference attendees?
What if you could connect with your audience and give them goosebumps and an emotional response? What if you could surprise them with an unforgettable experience?
Speaking is the most effective way to build trust with your tribe. Holding events positions you as the go-to person for what you’re speaking about.
I’ve been singing on stages across North America since 1983, and I finally got up the guts to actually speak on stage in 1999. Over the years I have learned how to really make a connection with my audiences and how to deliver exactly what they need. I’ve gone from shaking so hard I couldn’t read the words on the page in front of me (at 17 yo)… to speaking, singing and delivering healing on stage for 3000 people with absolute confidence and poise. I used to be terrified of networking and now I have my own networking meetup!
I LOVE to deliver memorable experiences and not just a bunch of words on a piece of paper, so I’ve got a surprise for you!
I walk my talk, so I’m going to be my own living example of what I’m going to share. That means you can expect anything from goose bumps to chills up and down your spine. Some of you might even walk away with… hmmm… I did say it would be a surprise, didn’t I? 😉
See you there!
What do you hope to take away from the conference?
I can’t wait to meet you and share with you. I look at life as a series of learning experiences, so I know I will learn a lot, even though I’m nowhere near a startup. Leigh puts on a pretty awesome event every time and I know I’ll hear some gems that I can put into action in my own business.
Here’s a little TIP for you: My main goal at an event like this is that I will learn something new and apply it, and have a meaningful conversation with at least 3 people at the event that I feel a connection with. Anything else is candy after that. No need to pressure yourself with handing business cards to everyone in the room (please don’t!). Make meaningful connections. That’s what I’ll be doing. Maybe you’ll be one of the people I get to do that with.

What do you think is our greatest social problem today? Any suggestions to solve it?
Inside our greatest social problem is also our greatest social solution: The Internet, texting and social media.
On one hand we have forgotten to connect on a real human level in person or even on the phone with each other.
On the other hand, many of us have friends and/or clients all over the world whom we wouldn’t have “met” without the Internet.
We need to learn to balance digital connection with in-person connection. This is why I’m excited to speak about the power of public speaking and events! We need to get ourselves out of our offices and connect with other human beings (not to mention Nature)… for our businesses and also for our very souls.
So how can you use technology to create real actual human to human connections between you and potential clients, collaborators and partners? That’s the digital/natural sweet spot.
What is the most inspiring book you have read?
I’m not a big book reader these days, honestly, but one book that really inspired me and changed my life is Coming Home by Martia Nelson. And recently in a 6-9 figure business owner group on Facebook, I got to “meet” her and share my story with her. That book was my heart medicine when I was in the thick of my healing journey, leaving my last abusive relationship to break that cycle, and creating a life that would make me happy and support the well-being and happiness of my kids. Coming Home was the most dog-eared book I think I ever owned, because of all the exercises and activities in it to help you actually come home to yourself. Martia thrilled me by sending me her latest edition of her book a few months ago, and we’ve been in touch ever since. Highly recommend to any woman who wants to reclaim her essence and power.
