Style: "Neutral"

Paulina is a marketing professional with over 20 years experience in online and offline marketing in Canada and overseas. Since 2009, she jumped the ship and became a full fledge online entrepreneur when she founded SOSsitter / SOSgarde – a bilingual online service helping Canadian families to find local and experienced caregivers (babysitters, nannies, senior caregivers, special needs caregivers, pet sitters and cleaning ladies). She loves her life as an entrepreneur – and will recommend it to anyone she meets.

How can your experience or your business help fellow conference attendees?

Running a successful business is not as easy as it appears. However, with few solid assumptions and a smart approach, it is very much possible. I tried and tested few business ideas and models, and one always sticks – finding a business that responds to a REAL NEED, and not a want, gets you half way to your success. When your business is really helping people (and is not solely focused on money), it will have the right energy to thrive.

What do you hope to take away from the conference?

I was attracted to this conference immediately. It is in my NDA to try and help communities, alleviate problems, bring people together, and really – feel connected. I am so much looking forward to hear how other entrepreneurs and companies are making people lives better. Here in Canada, or elsewhere. I am looking forward for inspiration, contact with like-minded peers and a feeling of a better world thanks to positive action.SOSsitter-Logo-Slogan-0415

What do you think is our greatest social problem today? Any suggestions to solve it?

I think that we all suffer from different levels of isolation. We have lost the ability to care, to spontaneously help the other person, and think of the common good. We have and are disconnected.

It is a shift in our thinking and then actions that can only change that. I have a feeling that this shift has already started, and the new generations will be thinking differently.

What is the most inspiring book you have read?

There are many excellent books out there, however there is one that just sticks with me. Every day.

It is “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” by Deepak Chopra

Its topic is relevant to all aspects of life, and if applied daily (which is surprisingly easy), really changes life to a much more natural, harmonious and peaceful stay of being. I love it and recommend it always.
