Should you ever need a "pick me up" from a lousy day, Laurel Crossley-Byers of Opti-Mom is the gal guaranteed to get you smiling and laughing again. Laurel’s positive energy is infectious, which makes her someone you want to get to know.

1. Tell us about your business.

Opti-Mom was founded in 2005 as an extension of my Coaching Services to support Moms – Mind, Body & Spirit. Today Opti-Mom has evolved into an organization that supports Families – Mind, Body & Spirit. Through Coaching, Meditation and Visualization processes, Opti-Mom helps to balance families reducing stress, anxiety and the sense of "disconnection" often found in very busy Families.

2. Other than being an entrepreneur, who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a loving, passionate Woman that enjoys anything to do with supporting Kiddos in my life and community as well as understanding how to support the "unsupportable" in our communities. I have been married for 19 years and have 2 Kiddos, Alannah age 16 and Aidan age 12. My mission is to spend my days loving everything I do and seeing the funny side of life.

3. What motivated you to go into business for yourself?

My Father is an entrepreneur and I have always sought out ways to take my skills and turn it into a business venture. Been doing that since I was a Kiddo.

4. How do you overcome challenges and obstacles in your business?

I remain very focused on my business direction, set my intentions and release it to to "the universe". This process has delivered "exactly" the types of opportunities I am seeking whether via e-mail, social media or personal introductions from my referral network.

5. What are your greatest strengths as an entrepreneur?

Genuine love and interest in those I speak with as well as my business focus. No need to "sell" if you love what you do 🙂

6. What are you most passionate about in your business?

WORKING WITH KIDS!!!! Yes I had to yell that – tee hee. And speaking about topics that impact Kids – mind, body and spirit.

7. What is one piece of helpful advice you would give to other entrepreneurs?

Find a Mentor that you adore to keep you grounded, focused and supports you even if it is something that you might not agree with.
