Step 1: Write a winning Creative brief
This was covered in Class in Class 9, 10 & 11
- A winning campaign starts with a brilliant brief …
- Create a creative brief to get clarity on how to make a winning campaign (this is outlined as an in-class activity – find resources to utilize on Teams)
- How to get the ClickUp Creative Brief Template:
Go to templates and choose the template you want – “Creative Brief” and click on “Free Solution Button.” If you have a ClickUp account set up, it will download into your account. You can join ClickUp using email or your Gmail account. There is no cost for the free version, and I have yet to see a need to buy the paid version. Follow the online instructions. If you follow step by step it will workHere is my Sample:
Step 2: Incorporate a project plan that holds everyone responsible. Make sure that everyone has roles and deadlines and clear instructions. Make sure you have a team leader who hands in the final project via PDF up until the deadline. Ensure only one person submits. Assign who is going to submit the project to moodle and mark it complete in your project planner.
Step 3: MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES (not doing your part could result in a mark of zero)
Carefully read all the project details and assign each task to the project members. Please include their name on the slide or graphics etc (you can always include a * and breakdown on a final slide. If you need extra slides to communicate whatever you need to that’s fine. If someone doesn’t do their part they could receive a zero on the project. Everyone must prove that they completed their section of the project. Any issues that occur must be worked out by the group and if a person doesn’t do what they say they are going to do and doesn’t have any contributions ensure that there name is not included. If this happens I need to be emailed on Sunday before 3 pm at leighmit@yorku.ca please- please ensure that whomever the issue is with is copied on the email. I will not deal with issues on Monday. As I said I will not accept projects in Moodle after Saturday at 11:59 pm. If someone’s has been not included in the final project because they didn’t do what they agreed to do then I need to be emailed by Sunday at 3 pm as stated above – no exceptions. I won’t be discussing group dynamics, issues or late excuses on Monday under any exceptions.
Step 4: Utilize all you learned in class to help you create a winning strategy and execution for your CRM Selection and Drip Campaign.
Important Notes:
Check out the example in Teams of the project discussed in class to give you an idea of what to expect, but understand that there were areas in the project example that could be improved.
You can use the shell of some of your materials from the first project if you choose the same start-up again, but you should customize them for the final project.
Apply all the strategy and growth hacking tips you learned in class and apply it to the strategy of your project including writing a creative brief before attempting to design your final landing page campaign.
You can use whatever software you feel comfortable with – Mailchimp, Hubspot, as long as you can do a fully functioning drip campaign from it.
You only need to create a budget for the software recommendation

- You will all get a chance to vote on your favourite group drip campaign – you can’t vote for yourself.
- There will be a final winner presented for each section and there will be a chance to photograph the winners
- We will end the class with a group photo and celebration – feel free to bring in your favourite snacks to celebrate and anything you need to serve them. This is by no means mandatory of course.
With gratitude and cheering you on….
