Let us guide you through the various elements of a business plan and finish with a start (or update) to your own plan in a supportive and helpful environment.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • Business plan basics
  • What to include in your business plan
  • What elements should be updated each year (yes dust that old plan of yours off and update it!)
  • How to set realistic goals for your business (and for your life!)
  • Business coaches will be on hand to assist you throughout the workshop

About the Speakers

Cora Brady @mc_canada Cora is a managing partner for Mom Central Consulting Canada, leading business development and client strategy. Cora started her career managing community relations and event marketing for the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs. On the agency side, she’s lead client services and strategy for clients in the US and Canada including: Coca-Cola, Weston Bakeries, Thomas Cook Travel, ADP, Molson Canadian and Popeye’s. Cora has a B.Sc. from Dalhousie University and a postgraduate diploma from Boston College Carroll School of Management. She is mother to Kate – a 3 year old who shares her mother’s sense of determination and passion for life and Jack – a 1 yr old chilled out little dude.   Amy Ballon and Danielle Botterell @mominc Amy Ballon and Danielle Botterell are the co-founders of Admiral Road Designs (www.admiralroad.com). Amy and Danielle seemed destined to cross paths when they met in their first week at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and learned that they shared the same major and lived in the same residence. After completing their Bachelor of Arts degrees in 1994, Amy and Danielle both spent time working abroad and then returned to Toronto to launch their corporate careers. Prior to establishing Admiral Road Designs, Amy worked as a strategic management consultant for Mercer Management Consulting. Danielle spent five years in the investor relations and corporate communications field working as a director for TrizecHahn Corporation and Minorca Resources. Amy and Danielle both attained their Master of Business Administration degrees from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto (in 2000 and 2001 respectively). Amy lives in Toronto with her husband Ian, her eight-year-old daughter Jessie, her five-year-old daughter Kyra and her two-year-old daughter Lily. Danielle lives in Toronto with her husband Angus Botterell, her seven-year-old son Charlie and her six-year-old daughter Eve. After nearly a decade of juggling business and family, Amy and Danielle decided to put their thoughts on paper.
