Bob Minhas makes business planning easy to understand, relevant, and human.

Bob has worked in tech in one form or another since 1999, including with the major telecommunications providers. His expertise ranges from security systems, to audio/visual, to IT, and HGTV personalities Mike Holmes, Bryan Baeumler, and Scott McGillivray have relied on that expertise for their home improvement projects.

Outstanding customer relations has always been Bob’s goal and his strength. He hands out the straight goods about what he’s doing and why he’s doing it, equipping his customers to make smart decisions about the systems they rely on.

Bob received his degree from the University of Toronto, and is also trained in wireless telecommunications and networking management. His experience includes technical customer support; sophisticated troubleshooting; satellite installation and repair; business development and marketing; and online relationship management. Since 2005, he’s been a feisty entrepreneur, managing and growing his own technical support and consulting enterprise.

Today, Bob is pretty darned excited to be educating others about tech topics, being an entrepreneur, and social media through impassioned talks and avid networking. His interactive sessions are always practical, enlightening, lively, and full of laughs.

How are you hoping to connect with conference attendees?

I’m looking to reach people that have struggled with the idea of a business plan. Whether its to get financing or simply have a direction on what they’re doing, my hope to is to continue to give back to my community by offering direction through a business plan.

What advice would you give conference attendees?

NEVER try and complete a business plan in one sitting. It’s an evolving document. Always start with the main categories and enter notes point form EXACTLY how it sounds in your head. Return later to smooth it out into average speak.
