In her journey of learning and giving financial advice, Diana has worn many hats and been identified as a friend, a partner, a coach, an interpreter, a problem-solver or even a peace giver. She is also known for her smile and positive energy. This, along with her emotional intelligence and commitment to following precise practices, is what differentiates her from her peers.
Before moving to Canada and joining Investors Group, Diana had a successful career in education and training, which made her realize how much she loved helping others achieve their goals and live a better life. From an early age she has been passionate about planning ahead and solving puzzles, and all these made for great ingredients when offered the opportunity to work with Investors Group. She gets to meet inspiring people on a daily basis and has the privilege to learn and understand her clients’ financials goals and concerns, in order to help them live their lives on their (financial) terms. How does she do this? By leveraging a great team of experts that shares the same values.
Diana is also interested in healthy living, critical thinking, neuroscience and martial arts. And of course, traveling, which she loves… planning for!
How can your experience or your business help fellow conference attendees?
I work with business women and help them keep more of what they make. Small business owners me and my team work with think of us as their personal financial support team for their investment, tax, risk management, retirement and estate planning. We make sure we minimize the tax they pay, that they borrow efficiently, that we protect their interests and their business and that we’re always there.
What do you hope to take away from the conference?
Grow my professional network and make new connections with other like-minded women. And help grow each other’s businesses.
What do you think is our greatest social problem today? Any suggestions to solve it?
Intolerance and ignorance. My only suggestion is to be 1% better every day and encourage the people closest to us to do the same.
What is the most inspiring book you have read?
It’s a duo: “The Male Brain” and “The Female Brain” by Louann Brizendine M.D. because they both are a great mixture of story-telling and neuroscience and it has completely changed some ways in which I see the world.
