Anthea started her insurance career at her Father’s insurance brokerage at the age of 15. Like many small business owners, Dennis Mumby operated the brokerage from his home at that time. This gave Anthea daily exposure to the brokerage, or as some would say “insurance in her blood”. She acquired her technical knowledge and experience working in various roles through the years, while always adhering to her father’s philosophy of “look after clients first, and the business will look after itself.” Anthea assisted her father after school and on weekends, and joined the firm full time after she graduated from the University of Waterloo.
She was then given the opportunity to acquire the Family Brokerage in 2002 wherein she assumed the role of President. Anthea now has over 25 years experience as a broker.
Anthea has a reputation of being a visionary in the insurance industry. Her passion is to consistently explore new and better ways of raising the bar in providing a superior customer service experience for Mumby’s clients. From product marketing to developing sound carrier relationships, Anthea’s focus is to promote and reinforce the Mumby MORE promise statements. Anthea takes pride in the fact that over 96% of her customers renew their insurance with Mumby each year.
