Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.”
Our clients have lofty expectations.
Many have reached a point in their lives where personal happiness is no longer something they wait for.
Especially when it comes to their home environment.
Although our overall role is to use our interior design knowledge and abilities to make sure we help you create a living space that meets your needs and wants, the most valuable service we provide is helping our clients separate fantasy from reality.
Fantasy leads to a fabulous over-budget home the owner can’t afford to furnish or complete.
Reality involves careful planning, trust and a mutually respectful relationship that results in a comfortable journey towards a realistic dream outcome. “taking funds from Peter to pay Paul MAY BE THE SOLUTION HERE?”
Your choice of interior designer is the most important new home building or renovation project decision you will make.
If you’re looking for a designer who is happy tag along and help you spend your money oblivious to the outcome, we’re not for you.
But if you want to work with a firm who isn’t afraid to ruffle your feathers if you veer off the reality trail, please read on.
Working with Jennifer Brouwer Design is all about a comfortable journey that may include a few exciting twists and daring turns but in the end delivers a result that is truly original.
Throughout the process of interpreting your ideas to create a customized luxury home interior, we use a palette of favourite interior design elements to create your unique personal statement.
Elegance, comfort and inspiration always seem to find their rightful place during the experience.
As lead designer and owner, Jenn Brouwer’s design outcomes are distinguished by her signature warmth, personal approach, and wherever fitting, the use of existing materials in an innovative manner.
After 13 years in the industry, she and her team of design professionals have created over 300 interior design renovation projects from Rosedale to Oakville.
Whether she’s called in from the beginning during the construction of a home or brought in to remodel an entire floor or room, Brouwer brings the same “how can we maximize value and happiness” to every project.
From “jaw dropping” great rooms to “all you could ever of dream of” kitchens, Jennifer Brouwer Design ties everything with a seamless integration of your home’s architecture and surroundings.
Our simple promise: Responsible interior design that will make you happy. And everyone who sees it…envious.
Recognition by Spectacular Homes as one of Toronto’s finest interior designers, national media coverage on television and in newspapers and magazines are accepted with silent appreciation.
But the praise we value most comes from our clients.

I already know how hard it is to go from being unhealthy to healthy. I also know how frustrating and confusing it is when you decide to make the changes necessary to being healthy. With so much conflicting information on the subject (fad diets, TV shows and well-meaning loved ones), it’s hard to know what’s real and where to start. And when you do start, all of a sudden, you’re realizing how much balance is needed to juggle your life with your newfound determination. It’s not always easy! I know this because I’ve successfully made the switch from living an unhealthy, unhappy and sedentary lifestyle to one that is healthy, happy and active! This website will show you how I do it, how you can too, and provides you the opportunity to work with me personally so we can make those changes happen for you! Four years ago I was obese, unfit and unhappy. I blamed my weight issues on everyone, and everything, around me. I sat on the couch, passively watching my life drift by me, dreaming of the day I’d wake up magically thin (and therefore happy). I had no passion in life, no drive and I didn’t feel worthy of success because I was overweight. One particularly lonesome afternoon I was surfing the Internet and came across a site about self-responsibility. It was a concept I already knew but one in which, I realized that day, I never truly understood. All of a sudden everything clicked for me. I created my life. I created my unhappiness. I created my excess weight, no one else, just me. This seemingly small revelation came as a huge shock to me as I had lived my life carefully denying this fact. I was so shocked I burst into tears and became quite upset for several days. How could i have done that to myself?! Why would I do that to myself? These questions spawned some serious self-reflection. After about a week of this self-reflection, I came out of it with another realization and a plan. If I had the power to make myself unhappy and miserable then that meant I also had the power to make myself happy! The future was not some pre-destined place where some people thrived and others failed; it was there for the taking. If I could create my past, I could definitely create my future and I was determined to make that future a joyful one. Fast forward to the present and here I am, a living, breathing success story. I lost 90lbs, ran my first half-marathon and even climbed the CN Tower! I went back to school to finish my psychology degree and am happier, healthier and more joyful than I have ever been in my entire life! I learned that, although I have lost weight, my weight does not define me,I define me. My weight was convenient to blame for me not doing the things I wanted to do. My weight was a symptom of my choices, not the other way around. I am a worthy individual no matter how much I weigh or how unhealthy I am but I’m happier being healthy! I’m happier not worrying about weight restrictions or if I can keep up with my niece. I’m happier not taking up two seats on a bus and I’m definitelyhappier to not be as self-conscious as I once was. I want you to experience what I have. I’m no different than you are, trust me on this. I struggle. I balance. I have to earn a living. I have a partner and friends and I still managed to do this, that’s how I know you can do this too! By working with me I will help you get started making these changes. You’ll not only receive help, support, accountability and information but you’ll also get someone who understands you and will work with you to make this change easy, fun and more rewarding than you ever thought possible. Someone who will challenge you to be more than you ever thought you could be and give you a no-excuses approach to change all the while giving you the tools to make this change permanent. When you change your health, you change your life. When you change your health, yougain your life. Let’s start your life today! Therese

I am providing one-on-one as well as group therapy sessions, treatments and workshops.
The BalanCHIng® Method was established in 2007.
As a child I couldn’t understand all the hatred, lies and betrayal going on between my parents and their anger they took out on me. In my late teens I became depressive and suicidal. After my father’s sudden death from an accident I decided to look for professional help. I tried Psycho Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Bio-feedback. From the last therapy I learned that it was important to be deeply relaxed to heal. But something still was missing. I enrolled in a private School to study Applied Psychology (Art, Gestalt, Choice, Reality and Logo Therapy) and Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Linguistic Programing, Emotional Freedom Technique and Systemic (Family) Constellation. I began to understand the relation between Body, Mind & Soul and how buried and/or suppressed emotions as well as out-dated beliefs can make us sick. I also discovered that therapies can be shortened when people are taught how to become more aware of their thought and behaviour patterns and finally heal themselves through the application of easy-to-use tools and techniques. My research with clients from all over the world and different modalities over several years resulted in developing the BalanCHIng® Method, that is an combination of above mentioned conventional psycho therapies and energy medicine/psychology techniques.

The Art of Marketing Inc. was created in 1999 by Wendy Marlow in response to the growing need for marketing and sales expertise for small businesses.
In the late 90′s, research revealed that people were leaving their corporate jobs (both voluntarily and involuntarily) and starting their own business to enhance their quality of life and/or generate an income. What Wendy noticed was that while people were proficient in their craft, they were not proficient in marketing and sales. Through an ingenious survey, Wendy was able to identify and confirm the 3 biggest obstacles small business owners face: (1) finance (2) marketing and (3) sales. In particular, small business owners identified “getting their name out there” as their most complex of tasks, and often the one ignored. Ask Wendy about her ingenious survey that resulted in a >95% response rate.
Wendy Marlow worked in corporate environments for more than 25 years, 19 of them with a health care company in Mississauga. As the company grew, so did Wendy’s responsibilities and knowledge base. She did everything from buying cars and office furniture to creating incentive travel and bonus/recognition programs. But it was in marketing that she found her passion, drive and the creative expression she loved. In 1999 Wendy left her corporate life behind as she spread her entrepreneurial wings. She has never regretted her decision and is profoundly thankful for her corporate experience.

Mealspirations is a Toronto based company that delivers chef designed recipes and all the ingredients you need to prepare them straight to your home, allowing you to cook delicious, healthy dinners. We take care of the meal planning and shopping, saving you time for the activities and people you love.
We currently deliver to various locations around the GTA. Visit https://www.mealspirations.com/ to start making your dinnertime easy and delicious!
Our journey began over a year ago when Linda Ogbeide a founding member decided to take action to improve the negative lifestyle choices that were impacting her health and wellness.
Having a chaotic job, where was a driven, dedicated over achiever, she focused her time and energy on work, and neglected her health and overall wellbeing.
She had little time to eat healthy and like many people relied on quick fixes from the grocery story, or take. Linda loved cooking and wanted to improve her health, so she decided to make a change. “If I had the idea of what I wanted to cook and all the groceries I needed to prepare it, the lack of creativity, and time restraints would be eliminated. If everything I needed came to me, what would be my excuse not to eat well?” Linda Ogbeide
Mealspirations was born out of Linda’s need for a convenient healthy alternative to take out and wanting to help others out of the same rut she faced on a daily basis. Certainly other working professionals and families had similar struggles with the “what’s for dinner” conundrum.
Mealspirations a Toronto based start-up delivers chef designed recipes and all the ingredients you need to prepare them straight to your home, allowing you to cook delicious, healthy dinners. We take care of the meal planning and shopping, saving you time for the activities and people you love.
The recipes are crafted by a culinary team and nutritionist, ensuring delicious, healthy, nutrient-rich meals for you and your loved ones.
Since Mealspirations’ first delivery of recipes and groceries kits in December 2013 their philosophy has been to help Canadians get back to the fundamentals of cooking at home and eating local, seasonal produce.
“It’s about getting people back into the kitchen and inspiring them to cook, eat healthy, and bond over food. We carefully select every ingredient to ensure freshness and quality. By portioning our ingredients we save people money since they by less and waste less.
Our customers rave about how we have changed their lives. We have couples that bond over cooking together, since we have made dinner preparation easy for them. Dinnertime is now couples time, which they look forward to every evening.
Our families actively make time to sit at the dinner table and eat together instead of in front of the television. Dinnertime is now family time as it used to be.
Many have seen an improvement in their health by cooking more at home and spending less money by buying excess food that goes to waste.”

Diana Nazareth is a lifestyle family and child photographer, who also specializes in maternity, newborn, and headshot photography.
Her modern approach to photographing families is evident in the natural, warm, intimate, evocative, and expressive quality of her work. A photojournalist by training, she is intuitively adept at capturing the quick and candid moments that unfold during a family photo session. As a result, her sessions are often described as real, relaxed, fun, and creative. Her ability to make kids feel comfortable and playful in front of her lens, is rooted in her calm and nurturing disposition and the experience that comes from raising two young and active boys of her own.
She strongly believes that photography transcends simply bringing a family together to have their picture taken, it also provides them an opportunity to document what makes them unique as a family. She takes great pride in crafting a family’s ‘visual story’ that they will treasure for years to come.
In 2010, Diana Nazareth joined creative forces with fellow lifestyle photographer, Kelly MacDonald, to offer exclusive wedding packages designed for couples interested in documentary-style photography for their special day. Their modern, non-intrusive approach to wedding photography includes working primarily with natural and available light to create personal, stunning, and artistic wedding imagery.
Diana Nazareth is a proud member of the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). She is the official photographer for the Children’s Art Theatre School (CATS DRAMA), a professional drama school for students ages 3 to 18 years, and an active member of Helping Hearts, an organization that provides free photography sessions for families with children who suffer from a life-altering illness or disability. In 2009, she was featured in the Toronto Sun, and interviewed on CBC’s “Metro Morning”, for her participation in Toronto’s first Help Portrait event.
