I already know how hard it is to go from being unhealthy to healthy. I also know how frustrating and confusing it is when you decide to make the changes necessary to being healthy. With so much conflicting information on the subject (fad diets, TV shows and well-meaning loved ones), it’s hard to know what’s real and where to start. And when you do start, all of a sudden, you’re realizing how much balance is needed to juggle your life with your newfound determination. It’s not always easy! I know this because I’ve successfully made the switch from living an unhealthy, unhappy and sedentary lifestyle to one that is healthy, happy and active! This website will show you how I do it, how you can too, and provides you the opportunity to work with me personally so we can make those changes happen for you! Four years ago I was obese, unfit and unhappy. I blamed my weight issues on everyone, and everything, around me. I sat on the couch, passively watching my life drift by me, dreaming of the day I’d wake up magically thin (and therefore happy). I had no passion in life, no drive and I didn’t feel worthy of success because I was overweight. One particularly lonesome afternoon I was surfing the Internet and came across a site about self-responsibility. It was a concept I already knew but one in which, I realized that day, I never truly understood. All of a sudden everything clicked for me. I created my life. I created my unhappiness. I created my excess weight, no one else, just me. This seemingly small revelation came as a huge shock to me as I had lived my life carefully denying this fact. I was so shocked I burst into tears and became quite upset for several days. How could i have done that to myself?! Why would I do that to myself? These questions spawned some serious self-reflection. After about a week of this self-reflection, I came out of it with another realization and a plan. If I had the power to make myself unhappy and miserable then that meant I also had the power to make myself happy! The future was not some pre-destined place where some people thrived and others failed; it was there for the taking. If I could create my past, I could definitely create my future and I was determined to make that future a joyful one. Fast forward to the present and here I am, a living, breathing success story. I lost 90lbs, ran my first half-marathon and even climbed the CN Tower! I went back to school to finish my psychology degree and am happier, healthier and more joyful than I have ever been in my entire life! I learned that, although I have lost weight, my weight does not define me,I define me. My weight was convenient to blame for me not doing the things I wanted to do. My weight was a symptom of my choices, not the other way around. I am a worthy individual no matter how much I weigh or how unhealthy I am but I’m happier being healthy! I’m happier not worrying about weight restrictions or if I can keep up with my niece. I’m happier not taking up two seats on a bus and I’m definitelyhappier to not be as self-conscious as I once was. I want you to experience what I have. I’m no different than you are, trust me on this. I struggle. I balance. I have to earn a living. I have a partner and friends and I still managed to do this, that’s how I know you can do this too! By working with me I will help you get started making these changes. I am providing one-on-one as well as group therapy sessions, treatments and workshops.
The BalanCHIng® Method was established in 2007.
As a child I couldn’t understand all the hatred, lies and betrayal going on between my parents and their anger they took out on me. In my late teens I became depressive and suicidal. After my father’s sudden death from an accident I decided to look for professional help. I tried Psycho Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Bio-feedback. From the last therapy I learned that it was important to be deeply relaxed to heal. But something still was missing. I enrolled in a private School to study Applied Psychology (Art, Gestalt, Choice, Reality and Logo Therapy) and Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Linguistic Programing, Emotional Freedom Technique and Systemic (Family) Constellation. I began to understand the relation between Body, Mind & Soul and how buried and/or suppressed emotions as well as out-dated beliefs can make us sick. I also discovered that therapies can be shortened when people are taught how to become more aware of their thought and behaviour patterns and finally heal themselves through the application of easy-to-use tools and techniques. My research with clients from all over the world and different modalities over several years resulted in developing the BalanCHIng® Method, that is an combination of above mentioned conventional psycho therapies and energy medicine/psychology techniques.

The Art of Marketing Inc. was created in 1999 by Wendy Marlow in response to the growing need for marketing and sales expertise for small businesses.
In the late 90′s, research revealed that people were leaving their corporate jobs (both voluntarily and involuntarily) and starting their own business to enhance their quality of life and/or generate an income. What Wendy noticed was that while people were proficient in their craft, they were not proficient in marketing and sales. Through an ingenious survey, Wendy was able to identify and confirm the 3 biggest obstacles small business owners face: (1) finance (2) marketing and (3) sales. In particular, small business owners identified “getting their name out there” as their most complex of tasks, and often the one ignored. Ask Wendy about her ingenious survey that resulted in a >95% response rate.
Wendy Marlow worked in corporate environments for more than 25 years, 19 of them with a health care company in Mississauga. As the company grew, so did Wendy’s responsibilities and knowledge base. She did everything from buying cars and office furniture to creating incentive travel and bonus/recognition programs. But it was in marketing that she found her passion, drive and the creative expression she loved. In 1999 Wendy left her corporate life behind as she spread her entrepreneurial wings. She has never regretted her decision and is profoundly thankful for her corporate experience.

Diana Nazareth is a lifestyle family and child photographer, who also specializes in maternity, newborn, and headshot photography.
